Post-operative home care is the type of care a patient receives following a surgical procedure. It begins when an operation is completed and continues during inpatient and outpatient stays in the initial recovery room.

Post-operative care AT HOME continues after the patients are discharged from the hospital, and SHORT TERM CARE AND support is provided at home by support workers and nurses WHO ARE FULLY CONVERSANT WITH THE CLIENT'S CARE NEEDS.
